Ultimately, a lot of this comes down to remembering the human being, and not treating your staff like they are numbers or robots or anything like that. If you can treat people like the people they are, then this is the kind of thing that is going to make for a much better situation on the whole, and you’ll find that you are much more likely to actually have a happy and healthy team.
